Ball State University's student debate team recently won the team championship of the National Educational Debate Association's (NEDA) national tournament.
Under the direction of Mike Bauer, a communication studies instructor, the team topped 40 other college groups to claim the top prize of the March 28-29 event at St. Peter's College in Newark, N.J. Ball State previously won the national title in 2005.
The student group also won three team awards and five individual speaking awards.
