Lola Mauer is the present Associate Vice President of Engagement and Strategy.

Lola became involved in fundraising when she was a student caller in the phonathon. She quickly became intrigued by the multi-faceted way development worked and decided to apply for an assistant director role just before she graduated. She was hired to lead the phonathon, which she did for around five years. On a daily basis, Lola is inspired by both innovation and tradition. She loves that she has the ability to honor the legacy of the Ball family’s spirit of beneficence while creating new events and fundraising tactics that engage constituents for the advancement of Ball State.

When she isn’t working, Lola loves traveling and taking her nieces on journeys both here and abroad. It is important to her that her nieces get to experience other places, peoples, and cultures. Outside of work, she also serves on the boards of Boys and Girls Club of Muncie, a national park, and Muncie’s Public Board of Works. She volunteers with her church as a Sunday School teacher and with elderly who have Alzheimer’s. Lola is also a cat mom (look them up on Instagram!). If she could be anywhere in the world, Lola would love to live in the Scottish countryside with the keys to a cottage with her favorite people.
