Six Thursdays, March 13 - April 17, 6-8 p.m.

Learn a new skill that will improve your communication with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Limited to 24 students and only open to those age 18 and older.

Includes instruction in finger spelling and basic conversation based on American Sign Language and signed English. A Certificate of Completion is provided to those who attend all six sessions in their entirety.

Instructor: Course is taught by Laura Shadoin, a retired teacher from Muncie Community Schools. She taught deaf students in elementary and middle schools for 22 years and served as a consultant during the last five years she worked. Laura has also taught the sign language class at the E.B. Ball Center for more than 25 years.
