About
Dr. Yu-Fang Chen, Associate Professor of Violin, will host Fort Wayne Philharmonic musicians Michael Acosta and Emelinda Acosta, along with their students, for a one-day studio collaboration at Ball State University. Throughout the day, the musicians will conduct rehearsals and lead instructional workshops with each other’s students. The residency will conclude with a collaborative recital.
Schedule of events:
- 12:00 p.m. – Emelinda Acosta and Michael Acosta Orchestra Excerpts Master Class
- 1:30 p.m. – Yu-Fang Chen Violin Master Class
- 4:00 p.m. – Guest Artists and Faculty Artist Studio Collaborative Recital
All events are open to the public and held in Hahn Recital Hall.
Parking
Parking is available in the McKinley Parking Garage (entrance on Ashland Avenue) located immediately south of Sursa Hall. On weekdays, metered parking is available on the first floor of the garage until 7 p.m. at which time parking is free. This garage is free on weekends.
