In this presentation, I am excited to share the valuable experiences I gained during my externship at Corteva Agriscience in the summer of 2024. Corteva Agriscience is the only major company in the United States that is fully dedicated to advancing the agriculture sector through the development and production of pesticides, fertilizers, and new seed strains. My experiences revealed how academic institutions play a pivotal role in preparing students for real-world challenges, emphasizing theoretical knowledge and practical applications that adapt to evolving market demands, regulatory frameworks, and technological advancements. Aligning educational programs with industry demands through collaborative partnerships enhances learning experiences and improves academic curricula, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application to better prepare students for the workforce. Offering hands-on training in research environments and immersive learning experiences equips students with essential skills to propel advancements in various industries.
