About Alyssa Schlachter
Alyssa serves as the ABA Accreditation and Field Experience Coordinator in the Department of Special Education. She supports ABA accreditation efforts and assists undergraduate and graduate ABA students with questions related to field experience courses and supervision requirements.
Professional Experience
Alyssa has worked in the field of applied behavior analysis since 2014 and earned her master’s degree in ABA from Ball State University in 2018. She has supported individuals from 18 months through 18 years across a variety of settings, providing ABA therapy, parent training, and supervision. Over the years, her work has integrated behavior-analytic principles to support nutrition practices and trauma-informed care. Alyssa holds additional certifications in Trauma-Informed Care and Nutrition. Her research interests focus on promoting quality staff supervision and trauma-informed practices within ABA.
