Dr. Phelps-Ward is a Black feminist higher education scholar dedicated to cultivating equitable and just environments for people from minoritized backgrounds through liberatory pedagogy, participatory research, and culturally relevant leadership. With more than a decade of experience at the collegiate level, Dr. Phelps-Ward leads teams with social justice at the forefront. Her scholarship can be found in the
