Assistant Dean and Director of Student Success
Dr. Melisa Stevens (formerly Melisa Beeson) joined the College of Sciences and Humanities as Director of Student Retention and Success in November 2022, returning to campus after a 15-year stint in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As Director of Student Retention and Success, Dr. Stevens is creating the college’s first Student Success Center slated to open in Fall 2023. She is working with CSH faculty and various student services units to improve students’ persistence to graduation and provide support as they prepare to launch successfully into their careers. Dr. Stevens is a proud Ball State alumna earning 2 of her degrees at Ball State including her undergraduate degree from the College of Sciences and Humanities. Her father graduated from Ball State (Accounting - 1967) as did her daughter (Nursing and Pre-Medicine - 2021).
