No matter your major, our minor in communication studies will further your career goals by providing a grounding in the fundamentals of effective interpersonal, organizational, and public communication. In addition to learning how to connect with others on a face-to-face basis, you’ll grasp broader communication approaches in companies, organizations, and before audiences.

Minor Requirements

This minor is not open to communication studies majors.

This minor is simple and flexible. Three courses are required:

  • Introduction to Human Communication
  • Persuasion
  • Presentational Communication

You can then complete your schedule with 12 more hours of communication studies course work of your own choosing—all but COMM 210 and 475 are open.
