Explore the theoretical foundations of effective communication and empower yourself to become a skillful communicator with our bachelor’s degree in communication studies. Your course of study will be hands-on, filled with practical assignments and internships, and taught by outstanding faculty in small class sizes.
As a communications major you will take 21 credits of departmental core courses, including argumentation; human communication; intercultural communication; persuasion; presentational communication; and communication theory and will need to complete COMM 201 during your first semester in the department. From there, you will pick one of three concentrations in public, interpersonal, or organizational communication.
The opportunity to speak larger platforms as part of the Speech Team will help me become more comfortable sharing important messages with others.
