Md Monir Hossain
Assistant Teaching Professor of Sociology
Dr. Hossain comes to us from Georgia College and State University, where he served the Department of Government and Sociology. He earned his BS and an MS from the University of Dhaka (Indonesia), an MA from Texas Tech, and his PhD from U of Alabama-Birmingham. His research interests revolve around social determinants of health, medical sociology, gender and racial/ethnic disparities in health, climate change implications for health, and quantitative methods.
