Global Dual Degree Programs allow global students and scholars to earn two academic degrees simultaneously from a leading international university and Ball State University. At Ball State, these programs are typically structured through global academic partnerships, providing students with the opportunity to learn from international experts, experience new academic environments, and gain international perspectives within their chosen field of study.

Our Global Degree Program includes the following modalities:
Undergraduate
- Program Types: Students begin their studies at their home university and follow either a 1+2+1, 2+2, or 3+1 pathway.Through a carefully coordinated curriculum and approved credit transfers, these pathways enable students to make steady progress toward their degrees while gaining international experience, developing intercultural skills, and benefiting from Ball State’s academic resources and student support services.
- 1+2+1: Students complete their first year at their home university, spend their second and third years at Ball State University, and return to their home university for their fourth and final year.
- 2+2: Students complete their first two years at their home university and their final two years at Ball State University.
- 3+1: Students complete their first three years at their home university and their fourth and final year at Ball State University.
- Degree: Students earn two bachelor's degrees (one from their home university and one from Ball State University) after successfully completing the academic requirements of both institutions. Students begin their studies at their home university
Graduate
- Program Types: Students follow either a 3+1+1 or 1+1 pathway. Through a carefully coordinated curriculum and approved credit transfers, these pathways enable students to make steady progress toward their degrees while gaining international experience, developing intercultural skills, and benefiting from Ball State’s academic resources and student support services.
- 3+1+1: Students complete the first three years of their bachelor’s degree at their home university, spend their fourth year at Ball State University, and continue at Ball State for an additional year of graduate study.
- 1+1: Students complete the first year of their graduate program at their home university and the second year at Ball State University.
- Degrees: Students earn degrees from both their home university and Ball State University after successfully completing the academic requirements of both institutions. In a 3+1+1 pathway, students earn a bachelor’s degree from their home university and a master’s degree from Ball State University. In a 1+1 pathway, students earn graduate degrees from both institutions.The program begins at the home university and final two years are completed at BSU with a 3+1+1model.
