To optimize P3 learning in the range of audiences that Ball State serves, Phase I included preliminary scheduling. In this scheduling, “major events” take scheduling, For 2007 these include the First Annual June Living Lightly Fair (the P3 Award project is one of two field trips of this sustainability celebration anticipated to draw 1500 people), Greening of the Campus Conferences (for which the P3 Award Project is a 2007 field trip), Earth Day celebration, where the learning module will house several activities, a National Arbor Day tree planting festival in the Cooper-Skinner forest, Wetland Day demonstration and education about the on-site constructed wetland and solar aquatic system, Landscape Architecture Month in April, and Global Warming Day celebration of zero emissions sustainable designs.

Phase I also developed the weekly schedule for the learning module. In this schedule, Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for educating BSU students and research activities. Mondays are scheduled for sustainability seminars and training programs. Fridays are reserved for K-12 immersive education experiences. Wednesdays and Fridays are reserved for education programs for the public including adult and community education. Sundays are reserved for church-related and special event activities.
