Anya Berg
Assistant Director of Academic Advising
Anya Berg is an Upper Division Advising Center Coordinator, supervising academic advisors and helping students in the College of Communication, Information, and Media, the Teachers College, as well as University College (Bachelor of General Studies and Associates in General Arts degrees). Anya began working with BSU Advising in 2016, advising students in the Department of Media, later becoming a Senior Academic Advisor, and finally a Coordinator in 2022.
Anya grew up in the country in Farmland (30 minutes from Muncie) and comes from a BSU and education-loving family: her father a retired carpenter from BSU, mother a retired elementary school teacher (and BSU alum), sibling a BSU alum, and grandmother a BSU retiree. Anya has a deep passion for education and student success. She graduated with her bachelors from the BSU Miller College of Business and Honors College in 2011 and went on to get her MBA from Ball State in 2012.
Anya married her high school sweetheart, Lance (also a BSU alum!), in 2011. They live on several acres, in their own little piece of God’s country, with their two kids and four dogs. She adores family time, reading fiction novels (dystopian and romance), and spending time outside: landscaping, water sports/swimming, and being near any body of water.
