• Familiarize and encourage students to experience the production process.
  • Provide a cross-disciplinary approach to production.
  • Foster a mentoring program with WIPB and University Media Services staff and students.
  • Encourage students to develop and work within academic and broadcast environments.
  • Produce broadcast content in response to a survey of donors based on local interest. Examples include (but not limited to) station or university promotions and marketing; educational, how-to, arts/cultural, health, public affairs, or travel programming; and interactive Web components.
  • Allow students students to propose and develop local programming content for WIPB.
  • Expand broadcast viewership by reaching out to new audiences.
  • Support existing objectives of WIPB by continuing to create high quality local and regional programming including web components.
  • Engage the WIPB audience in the value of PBS and the value of our local communities.
