WHEN: CLEP exams are administered approximately once each semester in the Testing Center.
COST:
- The total cost for a CLEP exam is $140.00. This total is comprised of an $95.00 fee payable to CLEP and a $45.00 fee payable to Ball State University.
PREPARATION: Refer to an appropriate textbook that would be required in the course for which you are attempting to obtain credit via examination. Or, check out the official CLEP website.
ADMINISTRATION TYPE: Computer Based
SPECIFIC INFO FOR BALL STATE STUDENTS: Ball State University grants appropriate credit to currently enrolled Ball State students who earn satisfactory scores on the subject examinations of the College level Examination Program (CLEP) exams. You will not be awarded credit for examinations if you have been or are presently enrolled for credit or audit in an accredited university course that covers the subject for which CLEP credit is offered, nor may you repeat an examination within three months.

Currently enrolled Ball State students who have taken a CLEP examination prior to enrolling at Ball State may have their records evaluated for CLEP credit by Jennifer Lawson with final approval from the appropriate department chairperson.
