If you are experiencing flu symptoms—fever, cough, sneezing, chills, aches, and sometimes diarrhea or vomiting, do not go to class or public events. You should avoid others as much as possible until you have had no fever without using a fever-lowering medication for 24 hours. Consider purchasing a thermometer to check your temperature. If you must be around others, wear a surgical mask or some kind of fabric over your mouth and nose.

Communicate with your instructors about your illness and your expected absence from class.

The Health Center will not be providing written excuses for absences. This allows the staff to focus on treating those in need of medical care.
