If you think you have the flu, or if you have flu-like symptoms—fever, cough, sneezing, chills, aches, and sometimes diarrhea or vomiting—stay home and avoid others as best you can. If your symptoms are severe or if you are in a high-risk group, contact your own medical provider or the Health Center for instructions. The Health Center can be reached at 765-285-8431.

Most people who are ill will recover from the flu without special treatment and may care for themselves at home.

If you have a medical condition that puts you at increased risk of severe illness from flu or develop severe symptoms such as increased fever, shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure, or rapid breathing promptly seek immediate medical attention.

If you are not ill, try to be aware of friends and acquaintances who are ill and do what you can to help. Take steps to reduce your risk of contacting the flu
