Are you interested in our Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics? Then it’s time to apply. Admission to our graduate program means you need to meet the criteria and apply to both Ball State’s Graduate School and the program itself.

We offer this program on Ball State’s main campus in Muncie, Indiana. You will need to indicate that you plan to study on the main campus when you complete our online application.

Admission Criteria

To be eligible for our program, you must have an academic background in nutrition and dietetics.

You must have the following minimum grade point averages (GPA):

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • 3.0 DPD GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • 2.75 Science GPA on a 4.0 scale

How to Apply

All applicants aspiring to become a registered dietitian nutritionist must provide an original, signed Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Verification of Completion Statement from the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) director. Aspiring dietitians must apply to the program through the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS) computer matching system for the application process. Applications and letters of reference must be submitted through DICAS.

Application Deadlines

There are two DICAS match deadlines each year. Approximate deadlines are:

  • the second week of February
  • the fourth week of September

Check with your DPD program director, Academy Accreditation staff, or D&D Digital Systems for the exact deadline date.

Matching Process

Applicants must also register online with D&D Digital to participate in the matching process. A list of selected programs must be submitted by the deadline.
