Dr. Caitlyn Placek, associate professor in Ball State University’s Department of Anthropology, is spending six months abroad as a recipient of the Fulbright Global Scholar Award—part of the Fulbright Scholar Program.

The Ball State Daily News newspaper and Indiana Public Radio (IPR), the NPR® Member station of Ball State Public Media, today are launching an innovative news-sharing venture that will strengthen the way news is delivered and consumed in the region.

The second annual Happy Little Fest is set for 1–4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, at University Green, located between Bracken Library and the Architecture Building, 1120 N. McKinley Ave., on the campus of Ball State University.

Alley House, located at 201 N. Temple Ave., has been selected to receive a SARA (Society of American Registered Architects) National Design Award, a prestigious recognition of talent, dedication, and innovation in the field of architecture.

The David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., will display a selection of paintings by New York artist Debbie Ma from Sept. 28 through Dec. 21, 2023.

Ball State University has announced that the Virginia B. Ball Center for Creative Inquiry (VBC)—the birthplace of Ball State’s signature brand of Immersive Learning—is being integrated into the University’s Honors College.

The Ball State University Board of Trustees on Friday, in its first meeting of the 2023-24 academic year, reviewed a comprehensive design for the University’s new Performing Arts Center.

“Happy Little Fest”/Ball State PBS was named the winner of the “Special Events” award within the Marketing and Communications category at this year’s National Educational Telecommunications Association’s (NETA) 55th Public Media Awards.

Ball State University will hold a grand opening on Sept. 19 for the Brown Family Amphitheater—a new outdoor performance and gathering space on campus that the entire community can enjoy.
