Ball State University will conduct active shooter training on June 13-14.
The Ball State University Police Department (UPD) will be training with police and emergency first responders from Delaware County, Muncie, IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, and other area agencies.
“Keeping the Ball State campus community safe is our top priority,” said UPD Chief James Duckham. “We also will be training with other local agencies to improve coordination and the ability to handle a situation we hope never occurs.”
The training runs from 8 a.m. to noon and 4 to 8 p.m. on June 13 and 8 a.m. to noon on June 14. Training locations will at the Oakwood Building (former Muncie Community Schools’ Anthony Administration Building) and Northside Middle School.
