Ball State President Geoffrey S. Mearns urged graduates to pursue their dreams with passion and courage.

Indiana Public Radio is presenting an original radio drama, “A Few Houses Down: A Christmas Play,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 14, at Sursa Performance Hall on Ball State University’s campus.

Vince Bertram, president and chief executive officer of Project Lead The Way (PLTW), will visit Ball State to present “Dream Differently: Work Is Changing, Schools Must Too.” His talk will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Frank C. and Elizabeth B. Ball Recital Hall at the David Owsley Museum of Art.

The Department of Theatre and Dance and the School of Music’s production of “The Nutcracker” takes the Emens Auditorium stage at 7:30 p.m. December 8.

Sponsored by Teachers College as a part of a Burris Weekend Celebration, Angelin Chang will perform in Emens Auditorium at 2 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, no tickets necessary.

Two Ball State graduate students are learning more about migration patterns of various birds by capturing and banding various avian species.

Ball State was named the 2018 Institution of the Year by the Indiana Society of Chicago.
