"A Grand Night for Singing" is a Rodgers & Hammerstein musical revue featuring performances by Ball State theater students. The production runs June 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25.
Ball State's Department of Theatre and Dance will present "A Grand Night for Singing," its 2011 Downtown Dinner Theatre production, on June 9–11, 16–18 and 23–25 at the Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 520 E. Main St.
"A Grand Night for Singing" is a Rodgers & Hammerstein musical revue featuring classic songs such as "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning," from "Oklahoma," "Some Enchanted Evening" from "South Pacific" and "Shall We Dance?" from "The King and I."
Harold Mortimer, associate professor of musical theater, is director and musical director for the production, with choreography by Michael Worcel, assistant professor of dance.
Carino's Italian Grill is catering the dinner, beginning at 6 p.m., with a cash bar opening at 5:30 p.m. The performance will follow the dinner at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $32–$37 for the show and dinner. Show-only side seating tickets are $15 per person. Tickets are available from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at Ball State's Theatre Box Office. Contact the box office at 765-285-8749 or boxoffice@bsu.edu for more information.
