With the start of a new semester in August also comes a new Ball State Dining option for students and employees. The Student Center Tally Food Court will begin serving the campus and community on Aug. 24.

Part of the Student Center renovation that began last year, the Student Center Tally Food Court will feature a Taco Bell, Starbucks, salad bar, grill favorites, soups and comfort foods, and grab-n-go items such as pre-made sandwiches, wraps, and fruit cups.

Guests will also be treated to daily display cooking at lunchtime with Chef Jason Reynolds, who moves to the Student Center from his current position in The Atrium.

The Tally will offer not only a fresh new menu, but a fresh, contemporary look and feel. The ceiling of the former Tally area has been raised to create an open-concept seating area, and a band of windows lines the top of the two-story room, providing ample natural light.

Ball State Dining staff is excited about the new caliber of dining the Tally brings to the south side of campus. "We are thrilled with this newest addition to the food options on campus and believe the new menu options will be an attraction for students and staff to the freshly remodeled Student Center," said Jon Lewis, Dining Director.

Hours of operation for the Tally will be posted this fall on the Dining web site, www.bsu.edu/dining.

Terrace Café, which has operated in the Student Center during renovations, will close Friday, May 8.
