As Congress continues to debate a proposed overhaul of the nation's health care system, the Office of Student Life together with Payroll and Employee Benefits are sponsoring a health care forum on Tuesday, Nov.10, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Pruis Hall.
Ball State professor of political science Charles Taylor will moderate the exchange that will include U.S. Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.; Dr. Thomas Whiteman, a local otolaryngologist and representative to the Indiana State Medical Association; Larry Dust, CEO of Key Benefits Administrators, the health care administrative agent for most Ball State employees; Cecil Bohanon, Ball State professor of economics; and Dr. David Orentlicher, former member of the Indiana House of Representatives and currently concurrent professor of law and medicine at Indiana University.
Each panelist is scheduled to speak for 5-10 minutes to explain his perspectives on health care reform, after which members of the audience will be invited to ask questions.
