Ball State's Board of Trustees has approved tenure and faculty promotions for 2007-08.
Nine faculty members were promoted from associate professor to professor, 16 were promoted from assistant professor to associate professor and 21 were granted tenure.
Promoted to professor were:

- James Eflin, natural resources and environmental management
- Carol Flores, architecture
- John Lorch, mathematical sciences
- Anthony Mahon, physical education, sport and exercise
- Kristen Perrone-McGovern, counseling psychology and guidance services
- William Rogers, biology
- Sadatoshi Tomizawa, modern languages and classics
- Allen Truell, information systems and operations management
Promoted from assistant professor to associate professor were:
