Jazz trombonist Michael Davis will perform with Ball State's Jazz Ensembles in this year's final Art of Jazz Series concert at 7:30 p.m. April 11 in Sursa Performance Hall.
Davis is hailed as one of today's premiere instrumentalists and has worked with some of the entertainment world's biggest stars, including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nelly, Bob Dylan and Michael Jackson.
"Davis, who is a part-time member of the Rolling Stones and the Bob Mintzer Big Band, is growing in popularity," said Larry McWilliams, Ball State professor of music and ensemble performance director. "This is a great opportunity for people to see a world-renowned talent they may not get another chance to experience."
General admission tickets cost $5 and Ball State student tickets are free with ID until 4 p.m. April 11. Tickets can be purchased at the Emens Auditorium box office, Ticketmaster locations, or charge-by-phone at (765) 644-3131.
