The Ball State
Museum of Art is giving visitors an inside look at its featured exhibit, "Engaging Technology: A History and Future of Intermedia."
"These tours will help our guests contextualize works, and this is a great way for visitors to understand art with technology," said Tania Said, the museum's curator of education.
"Art High at Noon" will feature Said discussing Adam Brown and Andrew Fagg's piece, "Bion," and Golan Levin and Zachary Lieberman's interactive work, "Messa di Voce," at noon Jan. 16.
John Fillwalk, director of Ball State's Institute of Digital Intermedia Arts and Animation (IDIAA), will lead "First Person: Engaging Technology" at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 28. Fillwalk will provide a behind-the-scene look at the exhibit he organized as the guest curator.
Jesse Allison, the IDIAA faculty fellow, will direct various hands-on activities during "Family Day" at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 25. Allison developed the interactive timeline for the exhibit.
Unless otherwise noted, the events are free, open to the public and at the museum, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Further details will be announced for a March 11 performance to mark the exhibit's closing. For more information, visit www.bsu.edu/artmuseum or call (765) 285-5242.
