Art in Bloom is an annual celebration of the David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) through innovative floral interpretations created by regional designers. This exhibition of floral arrangements will be on view for the public May 18 and 19 with no admission fee and extended hours on both days. Saturday, May 18, will include a celebratory reception from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Join us for tours, activities, demonstrations and more (and parking on Campus Drive on the Old Quad is free on weekends!). All of the weekend festivities are open to the public with no admission fee. (Registration is only required for the Saturday Paper Poppy Workshops due to limited space.)
On both Saturday and Sunday enjoy light refreshments and artwork-based coloring pages for all ages from 1pm to 5pm - as well as the knock-out floral arrangements inspired by works of art in the galleries. In addition, a public reception from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday will feature live jazz, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash (only) bar. (The galleries will also remain open during the reception so you can view the flowers!)
No admission fee and no need to register for any of the activities below (EXCEPT for the Poppy Workshops) - simply join us and celebrate springtime in the galleries.
