Presenter: Campus Police Chief.  John A. Foster BSU Security

Description: Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of a police officer is like? Is it really like what you see on TV and in movies?? Ball State Police Chief John Foster will share his experiences of 30+ years in the profession and discuss the many changes he had observed in his agency and abroad.

Presenter Bio: Assistant Vice President for Public Safety and Chief of Police John Foster has been employed as a police officer for over 30 years. He is a two-time graduate of Ball State University and attended local high school at Wes-Del. Chief Foster graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1995 after obtaining full-time employment with the Ball State University Police Department in 1994.  In 1996 Chief Foster received his certification as a Law Enforcement Instructor and later obtained specialist certification in Firearms, Physical Tactics, and Emergency Vehicle Operations. He has had assignments as a Field Training officer, bicycle patrol officer, K9 officer, Detective, and was a member of the FBI’s joint Terrorism Task Force.
