Minnetrista Museum & Gardens was established by the Ball family to celebrate the art, history, and the culture of East Central Indiana. Minnetrista is located on the property where the Ball brothers lived, after moving here in the late 19th century and the early 20th centuries, and four of the Ball brothers original homes remain. The Ball family devoted much of their time and resources to the people of Muncie, and Minnetrista is another gift from them to the community.

On Minnetrista’s 40-acre campus, visitors can experience exhibitions about art and history, participate in programs and classes, enjoy the beautiful gardens, and a nature area, attend magical events, and explore the home where Bob Ross painted and filmed his television program. Learn how Minnetrista is renewing its efforts to be a resource for everyone-a sanctuary for everyday people-to fulfill the intentions of its founders and serve our community.

Brian Statz is the president and CEO of Minnetrista Museum & Gardens and is in his third year with Minnetrista. Brian served for 15 years as the Vice President of Operations and General Counsel for the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and also practiced law for 13 years with the Indianapolis law firm of Lewis & Kappes.
