Adventuresome undergraduates:
If you’re interested in studying in Africa, Asia, Central or Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, or the Middle East, a Boren Scholarship could give you up to $25,000 and a head start on your career!
Language study is required while abroad, and strong preference is given to students who will spend at least six months abroad (which can mean only one semester away from Ball State's campus if you will also be abroad during the summer). Scholarships for summer study abroad (at least 8 weeks) are available only to students in STEM fields. Study must begin no earlier than June 2027.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Recipients are obligated to one year of federal government work after graduation.
