Visit the BSU Nature Lab at 11am for Tracks, Trails, & Tales, our weekly summer story time. Gather around the campfire rug to hear a different nature-themed story each week. Story time will be followed by a craft, activity, and/or a guided nature walk. All ages are welcome, but stories and activities will skew towards our younger audience members.
July 14: What's Inside a Caterpillar Cocoon?, by Rachel Ignotofsky
During story time, visitors will learn about the life cycles of butterflies and moths, along with their habits, similarities, and differences. After story time, we will spend time observing the monarch caterpillars, chrysalides, and (potentially) release a butterfly if it has emerged. We will also explore the prairie in search of fluttering friends, and/or a butterfly craft. Outdoor activities are weather dependent.
