The Cultivating Civic Character for the Common Good (C4G) Summer Workshop is a three-day faculty institute at Ball State University focused on strengthening character formation as a foundation for civic learning in higher education. Informed by Third Way Civics (3WC), the workshop includes sessions with Dr. Trygve Throntveit and an ECI representative, with practical emphasis on pedagogy, course design, and campus-wide implementation. This convening is designed to bring together Ball State’s C4G Community of Practice and the statewide C4G Community of Practice (through Community Engaged Alliance) to share tools, align strategy, and build a durable network for civic character education across Indiana.
