Kimberly Drew: “Race, Art, and Curation in the Age of Social Media”Kimberly Drew, who NPR called a “champion of black artists and museum accessibility,” will present “Race, Art, and Curation in the Age of Social Media” at Ball State on October 16 as part of the Fred Meyer Cultural Policy and Arts Advocacy Lecture Series.Drew is a rising star in the art world, who started the popular Tumbler blog Black Contemporary Art . She recently left her role as social media manager at eh The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City to work on the forthcoming visual anthology Black Futures, co-edited with New York Times Magazine writer, Jenna Wortham. Oct. 16, 7:00pm at the Student Center Ballroom.
