Virtual Financial Aid Appointments
Schedule a one-on-one, 25-minute meeting with a staff member from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Our team is ready to answer any questions you have about Ball State specific to financial aid. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-noon and 2-4 p.m. EDT. Register now.
Engage with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships in a 30-minute virtual presentation on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Join staff for an informative session on next steps, updates, and other areas of financial aid that you should be aware of. You'll then hear about ways you can personally engage with them after the session to get your individual questions answered. Register now.
Register for a virtual Q&A session with current Ball State students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Join our students in a fun and interactive hourlong virtual session! This is your opportunity to ask questions and learn about what it's like to be a Ball State Cardinal, why they picked Ball State, and more. The Office of Admissions has been and will continue to communicate important updates regarding COVID-19 to admitted students via email. On March 26, an email update was sent that included information on enrollment deadlines, financial aid, virtual visit options, and more. On April 4, a second update was sent including information on virtual student Q&A sessions, financial aid information sessions, and steps to complete your housing contract. A third update was sent on April 17 with new virtual one-on-one options for students as well as FAFSA deadline information.
- Ball State President, Geoffrey Mearns, sent two email messages to you this month. On May 7, 2020, an email was sent from President Mearns welcoming admitted students to campus, including a video message. On May 28, 2020, President Mearns sent a message to you with more information on Ball State's plans for Fall.
- Are you checking your Ball State email account? Information from departments and offices have been sent to your BSU account. Be sure you check it on a regular basis. If you do not have your credentials, contact the Technology HelpDesk at 765-285-1517.

- Ball State Housing notified students on June 9, 2020 via email on the updated plans for Fall 2020.
- Provost Susana Rivera-Mills updated the campus community on the scheduling changes for Fall 2020 in an email sent on June 22.
It's Not Too Late to Join Us for Fall 2020
Be sure to confirm your enrollment now to reserve your place in our Fall 2020 incoming class, if you haven't done so already. You don't want to miss out on this incredible opportunity! Once confirmed, you'll hear more about Orientation, housing, registering for classes, and other next steps in the enrollment process—all of the ways we will fully equip you to "fly" as a Ball State Cardinal.
You'll need to formally accept your offer of admission and pay a $100 nonrefundable enrollment deposit. Also, you need to complete this step in order to apply for certain types of financial aid, sign up for housing, and other important steps to getting started at Ball State.
You must confirm your enrollment online through your Applicant Status Portal. Be sure to have your Ball State username and password ready to log in. If you do not have your credentials set up, contact the Technology HelpDesk at 765-285-1517.
Once you login, fill out the Enrollment Confirmation Form under the "Forms" section of your portal. You'll then be prompted to make your $100 enrollment deposit
Accept My Offer
You’ll need activate your Ball State username and password. You will use this information to access your Applicant Status Portal, where you will submit additional materials, confirm your enrollment, and more, and your MyBSU account, which you will use for important university business, such as accepting financial aid, signing up for housing, registering and classes, and paying fees.
To set up your username and password:
- Locate the email from the Technology HelpDesk you received after you applied to Ball State and follow the instructions provided.
- If you cannot locate this email, contact the Technology HelpDesk. (The HelpDesk can also help with username and password problems or you may learn more online.)
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible between October 1 and April 15 to receive maximum consideration for financial aid and scholarships. Then, use your MyBSU account to view your financial aid awards. Ball State starts notifying incoming freshmen of their awards in January.

Confirmed and planning to live on campus? Apply for housing online by June 1. Request your residence hall room type, search for and request a roommate, and choose a meal plan.
