You'll need to formally accept your offer of admission and pay a $100 nonrefundable enrollment deposit. Also, you need to complete this step in order to apply for certain types of financial aid, sign up for housing, and other important steps to getting started at Ball State.
You must confirm your enrollment online through your Admitted Student Portal. Be sure to have your Ball State username and password ready to log in. If you do not have your credentials set up, contact the Technology HelpDesk at 765-285-1517.
Once you login, fill out the Decision Reply Form under the "Forms" section of your portal. You'll then be prompted to make your $100 enrollment deposit
Accept My Offer
You’ll need activate your Ball State username and password. You will use this information to access your Admitted Student Portal.
Your Admitted Student Portal allows you to:
- Access your Ball State Outlook Email. This serves as your official Ball State email and is critical to check regularly to find next steps related to Financial Aid, Housing, and other important areas.
- View financial aid award information through Self-Service Banner when it becomes available (all students admitted before January 1 will be receiving this in mid-late January).
- Update and change personal identity information through Self-Service Banner such as name changes, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers etc.
To set up your username and password:
- Locate the email from the Technology HelpDesk you received after you applied to Ball State and follow the instructions provided.
- If you cannot locate this email, contact the Technology HelpDesk. (The HelpDesk can also help with username and password problems or you may learn more online.)
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible between October 1 and April 15 to receive maximum consideration for financial aid and scholarships. Then, use your MyBSU account to view your financial aid awards. Ball State starts notifying incoming freshmen of their awards in January.

As a student, you can set up proxy access granting others permission to access certain information in Self Service Banner or to speak with specific departments.

Confirmed and planning to live on campus? Apply for housing online by June 1. Request your residence hall room type, search for and request a roommate, and choose a meal plan.
We are currently evaluating the best way to provide an Orientation program for new students while still prioritizing student and staff safety in these unprecedented times. Confirmed students will receive timely updates through email, social media, and our website.
