Our urban planning program is the only accredited program of its kind in Indiana.
The Planning Accreditation Board first accredited the bachelor’s of urban planning and development (BUPD) as a five-year program in January 1995. In 2002, it was reaccredited as a four-year program. Accredited bachelor’s programs are relatively unusual with only 16 in the nation. Our master’s program was first accredited in January 1993 and has been reaccredited successively since that year.
Every few years the accreditation board visits to reassess our programs. The 2021-2022 school year was the last such visit, and at that time, both programs were reaccredited until Dec. 31, 2027.
