Gain a deeper understanding of people, their behaviors, and their motivations. Our degrees will prepare you for a variety of careers in academic settings, social work, or nonprofits.
If you’re interested in majoring in psychological science as an undergrad, you’ll need to first be admitted to Ball State University. If you plan to pursue one of our master’s degrees, you’ll need to apply to both the Ball State University Graduate School and our department. Also, we offer scholarships and graduate assistantships to help cover the costs of your education.
As one of our students, you’ll develop your communication and interpersonal skills, analytical insights, flexibility and creativeness, and computer abilities—all of which are highly applicable to any profession.
Our graduates go on to develop careers in fields as wide ranging as business, social service and healthcare, government and the military, and education.
Gain hands-on experience with an immersive learning project, pursue your research internships, or join the Psi Chi National Honors Society.
Stay connected with our department after you graduate. We are always interested in having our alumni and other guests come to campus to speak to our students and faculty. Or support our current students by letting us know about any internships or positions you may be hiring for. And you can keep up to date with what’s happening here through our department newsletter and "Ball State Magazine."
