Sally Jo Vasicko is Professor of Political Science and Co-director of the Bowen Center for Public Affairs. She has worked at Ball State University since 1973. She received her Ph.D. from Duke University, specializing in the field of public law. Professor Vasicko is past chair of the Department of Political Science. Her areas of research include judicial biography and the federal court system. Professor Vasicko served as White House Liaison to U.S. Secretaries of Labor Elizabeth Dole and Lynn Martin, as well as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Employment and Training. Professor Vasicko was on leave during the 1996-97 year to serve as the Project Director of the Lynn Martin Task Force at Mitsibishi Motors in Normal, Illinois.
