Studying the ancient world gives you an opportunity to examine those foundations while developing valuable skills in research, analysis, interpretation, and communication.

The Ancient History and Classics minor can complement studies in fields such as anthropology, English, philosophy, political science, modern languages, and the arts. With electives in classical culture, Latin, Greek and Roman history, and Byzantine civilization, you can also tailor part of the curriculum around your interests. This minor is not open to History majors.
