Through this concentration, you’ll delve into how political systems work—both in the United States and globally. This includes studying national government structures, comparative politics, policy making, political behavior, constitutional law, and public institutions.

You’ll learn to think critically about power, democratic governance, law, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens. As a teacher, you’ll be equipped to guide students in analyzing current public issues, understanding legal and institutional frameworks, and becoming informed, active participants in civic life.
