Martina Schiavo
Graduate Assistant
Martina Schiavo, MA, is a doctoral candidate in the EdD program in Adult and Community Education with a research focus on international education. She is a graduate assistant at the Rinker Center for Global Affairs where she creates, manages, and supervises cultural programs that highlight different countries, cultures, and life experiences. She collaborates with the International Student Success team at the Rinker Center to ensure the success of BSU international students. Martina is dedicated to helping international students navigate the process of transitioning into American higher education, fostering a smooth and successful experience. She also teaches a course on Cultural Experiences at the Intensive English Institute that aims to immerse IEI students in the cultural experiences offered at BSU.
Martina holds a bachelor's degree from Université de Lorraine in Nancy, France and a Master's in TESOL and Linguistics from Ball State. She first came to BSU with an exchange program from Nancy. In her free time, she enjoys watching films by directors from different countries. She loves to travel, taste international foods, and spend time in nature.
