In most cases, Dee will be your first point of contact when you visit or call the division’s main number. She connects university clients and media members with the appropriate individual or department, maintains a centralized filing system, schedules leadership meetings, and supervises student employees.
With her kind demeanor, Dee is looked upon as a “mother figure” to everyone, offering encouragement and support while sharing her sense of humor. Her infectious smile and laugh are comforting to all.
A Muncie native, Dee served more than 10 years in the U.S. Army as a nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare specialist. She was a phlebotomy technician and certified nurse technician, and she served as coordinator and in administrative assistant roles with YWCA of Muncie and Jarden Home Brands, which includes Ball Corp.
Since joining Ball State, Dee has been a records clerk for the registrar’s office and a secretary to the associate dean of the Miller College of Business.
The mother of two is committed to serving the Muncie community by volunteering at hospice facilities and uplifting people through the work of her church, Union Missionary Baptist Church.
