About the Project
The Indiana Writing Project (IWP), Ball State University's regional site of the National Writing Project, promotes literacy, writing, and creative expression throughout Indiana. Through the Center for Innovation and Collaboration, IWP leverages community partnerships and innovative technologies to create immersive storytelling and learning experiences for K–12 students.
This project integrates digital publishing tools into creative writing instruction. Through collaboration among the Indiana Writing Project, Ball State partners, and Muncie-area schools, elementary and high school students will use digital tools to create and share their work. The project expands youth programming while building confidence, creativity, and digital literacy.

Project Deliverables
Digital Storytelling and Publishing Programs
Students will use digital tools to create and share original stories through programs designed for Muncie-area youth.
Creative Writing and Digital Literacy Workshops
School and community partnerships will support workshops that combine creative writing instruction with digital literacy skill-building.
Student-Created Digital Publications
Original student stories and creative work will be published and shared as part of the project.
Public Showcase Events
Events will celebrate student achievement, creativity, and self-expression with families, educators, and community partners.
