Chase away those winter blues by taking a trip to a tropical rainforest! Come experience a guided tour of the greenhouse or explore on your own. 
Create your own plant-themed holiday cards, discover orchid-pollinator relationships, and take a stroll through each room to find our gorgeous blooms and learn about the role of orchids in romance and mythology. 
Bring your camera and your creative vision to the greenhouse to capture photos of our gorgeous flora. Tripods and other equipment can be used. Join us during our special open hours for this event to take advantage of the early morning light, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Join us to celebrate the amazing diversity of orchids at the largest collegiate orchid collection in the United States! Open 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

If you are looking for a new plant friend (or more, we won't judge) join us for our annual sale/fundraiser at the Orchid Greenhouse! We will have succulents, houseplants, orchids, and native outdoor perennials for you to peruse. All proceeds go towards the greenhouse and our free educational programs. 

Do you have orchids of your own, and want to learn more about their care? Come visit us today for a free orchid repotting demonstration.

Sale and demonstrations will run from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us to learn more about succulents, including their habitats, growing needs, and more. You'll even get to take home a succulent start of your very own. Two sessions will be offered at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Registration is required. For registration details, check out our Facebook event page two weeks before the event. 
When dinosaurs roamed the Earth, orchids were blooming. Join us to learn more about the ancient family of orchids and the giant creatures that roamed the Earth alongside them.
Join us from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to learn about the wildlife living in the Orchid Greenhouse and the Nature Lab.
Whether you're a returning student or a newly enrolled freshman, come visit the Orchid Greenhouse from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm to learn about this amazing resource on campus. 
Learn more about the fascinating life cycle of monarchs. Join us to see live monarch specimens in various life stages, complete a scavenger hunt activity to learn about each life stage, and bring your little ones to listen to our Education Coordinator read stories about monarch butterflies. 
Bring your family and friends to the Orchid Greenhouse for a tour, 10:00 - 3:00 pm.
Bring your sketchbooks, paints, cameras, and your creative vision to the greenhouse to capture the beautiful flora within. Easels and stools provided, but all other supplies must be brought by visitor.
Visit the greenhouse to "take chances, make mistakes, and get messy" with our very own Mrs. Frizzle. Costumes are encouraged and all ages are welcome.
Check out artwork by current BSU students inspired by the Orchid Greenhouse. A Meet-the-Artists event will be held on November 4th from 4:00 - 5:00 pm to kick off the month-long showcase. 
Come check out some of the tropical plants that we depend on for food production, including coffee, bananas, chocolate, and more. While you explore, try samples of tropical-inspired dishes created by BSU Culinary students.
Join us for the one night of the year that we're open after dark. Enjoy a guided tour of the Orchid Greenhouse decked out for the holiday season from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
