Digital Model, Computer Simulation: Integrated Daylight/Electric Illumination

A specially constructed three dimensional computer model of the building or space is analyzed using AGi32 lighting analysis software. Unlike many popular rendering packages that generate beautiful but technically incorrect and impossible to achieve lighting depictions, AGI32 is a lighting industry recognized tool capable of accurate, photometrically correct quantification and visualization of daylight and electric light in buildings. The software has access to multiple sky condition models and to a vast collection of actual luminaire photometric data provided by the lighting industries’ leading manufacturers allowing the accurate depiction and analysis of integrated daylighting and electric lighting scenarios. This testing allows investigation of issues related to both quantitative questions about lighting and brightness levels and qualitative lighting issues involving visual comfort and aesthetics.
