George Elvin is a LEED accredited associate professor of architecture at Ball State University giving green building seminars and workshops worldwide.  He has been a Visiting Fellow at the University of Edinburgh’s Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and at Ball State’s Center for Energy Research, Education and Service.  Mr. Elvin received his PhD in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, worked professionally in Europe and Asia, and owned a design-build firm in Washington, D.C. for 12 years.  He is also the editor-in-chief of the annual American Institute of Architects Report on University Research, and the author of Integrated Practice in Architecture.  His research on green building has been published by Princeton Architectural Press, the International Journal of Architectural Computing, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Institute of Architects.
