What is Active Learning?

Active learning is an approach to instruction that promotes greater student engagement.

Active Learning at Ball State

The Division of Online and Strategic Learning is ready to support this technique and will begin using it in the Active Learning Academy and the Creative Pedagogy Lab. DART will be used to monitor active learning in classrooms, provide reports for faculty reflection, and, in conjunction with direct observation and video recordings, to identify action points that predict periods of active learning.
