Kara DuQuette
Immersive Learning Project Manager
Dr. Kara DuQuette is an artist, educator, and project manager of Immersive Learning at Ball State University. Kara brings expertise and excitement to her work and is passionate about connecting people, ideas, and resources for immersive learning course project partnerships between Ball State University and the Muncie community and throughout East Central Indiana. Dr. DuQuette collaborates with community members, students, faculty, and administrators interested in engaging with the community and talks with them about project ideas, funding, planning, and implementation. Immersive learning is unique to Ball State University and is identified as one of its high-impact learning practices. The Association of American Colleges and Universities identifies a high-impact learning practice as the most beneficial way to engage students and challenge them to be actively involved in their own learning. Immersive learning is community-engaged, collaborative, and project-based.
