Community Outreach
Students
Be Connected is our tracking system for student volunteer hours. We have created a group under the Healthy Lifestyle Center where you can see all of our upcoming events and sign up to volunteer.

To participate in events, you must complete a few training requirements we have that can be completed within our Canvas community page. You can join the Community. Once you have completed these requirements, you may be added to the HLC Be Connected group and access all volunteer opportunities.

Are you interested in implementing community engagement in your courses? There are opportunities for every program and department. Contact Theresa Mince to learn more.

Examples include:

  • Community health fairs
  • Community health needs assessments
  • Collaborative partnerships

Community members play a vital role in helping our students learn by doing. Want to volunteer with our simulation lab or participate in outreach?

Email Jane Milleman to learn how you can support immersive, hands-on student experiences.
